In the Meadow we Can Build a Snowman

There are certain things that I have believed to be truths well at least until recently...· A flashing "walk" sign grants you unwavering immunity from any harm that could come while crossing the street· No flag should/or could be raised higher than that of the American flag· Hot chocolate is better with those little marshmallows in itBut I have recently discovered that these said truths don't hold up. Despite my idea of the world being lollipops and gum drops there are bad drivers out there who at times try to run red lights. We also know, as shocking and sad as it is that Texas feels that they have some right to fly their flag higher than that of the one that signifies the unity of our country. And although we love those tiny marshmallows that come in the hot cocoa mix it's only a matter of seconds before they dissolve and you hardly notice that they were there in the first place.**But having good friends never changes. I'm so thankful for the friends I have in my life, old and new. I'm glad that I have friends who will gather around the glow of the jack-o-lantern in my tiny house and listen to Christmas music.Sweet tangerines to all and to all a good night!

There is Nothing you can Sing that can't be Sung

I'm usually a sucker for the limelight tbut this past week a few things have been noticed that i did not necessarily intend to be seen.While using the restroom at work a co-worker notices my tattoo on my foot and starts engaging me in conversation (while noting the tattoo) ..... i'm not exactly a bathroom talker if you know what i mean ....ladies. Secondly, another co-worker catches me looking at a map in the hall way and asks "why are you looking at Virginia all longingly?" i blushed and quickly left the map and returned to my desk.It can also be annoying when family calls you out on things that are painfully obvious... like the fact that i've been a baby throwing myself a pitty party. thanks mom. i know things have been tough but i've been letting the pressure spill over on to others and that's not fair.
