A Beautiful Sight I'm Happy Tonight

There are certain things that I have believed to be truths... well at least until recently:• A flashing “walk” sign grants you unwavering immunity from any harm that could come while crossing the street• No flag should/or could be raised higher than that of the American flag• Hot chocolate is better with those little marshmallows in itBut I have recently discovered that these said truths don’t hold up. Despite my idea of the world being lollipops and gum drops there are bad drivers out there who at times try to run red lights, we also know, as shocking and sad as it is that Texas feels that they have some right to fly their flag higher than that of the one that signifies the unity of our country. And although we love those tiny marshmallows that come in the hot cocoa mix it’s only a matter of seconds before they dissolve and you hardly notice that they were there in the first place.**But having good friends never changes. I’m so thankful for the friends I have in my life, old and new. I’m glad that I have friends who will gather around the glow of the jack-o-lantern in my tiny house and listen to Christmas music.
